How to count in 5s on the clock
- Find the blue hand. Which big number is it pointing at?
- Count in 5s from 12: 5, 10, 15, 20… until you reach that number.
- That’s the minutes! Blue hand on 4? 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes.
Fox trick: the small numbers (1 to 12) are the 5 times table in disguise. 1 → 5, 2 → 10, 3 → 15…
Try it!
Red hand just past 10 and blue hand on 7? 7 × 5 = 35, so it’s 10:35.
